At the beginning of July Hannah Schockmel and Edel Spencer began their graduate assistantships in the Collaboratory. Between them, Edel and Hannah will provide support in the Collaboratory from 8 until 4 Monday through Friday, from classroom support to helming the production of image orders.

Ph.D. Students Caroline Paganussi and Bart Pushaw release the first episode of their new podcast, bip[art]isan, which aims to highlight the relevance of art history for the world we live in. As of today, the Michelle Smith Collaboratory for Visual Culture has its own website! We are excited and hopeful that this website serve as an able vehicle both for the resources that we create for our audience and for fostering a community centered on growing a digital humanities that, above all else, centers on visual creativity and its history.
