The DIG

The DIG

The Digital Innovation Group, or the DIG, in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at the University of Maryland explores the relationship between art history and technology.  Whether it is walking in the footsteps of Abbot Nikulas of Munkathvera's 1154 pilgrimage to Rome in Google Earth or utilizing mobile devices to encourage participation in the classroom, graduate students in the Michelle Smith Collaboratory for Visual Culture in the Art History and Archaeology Department employ a wide range of technology to reexamine and reinterpret both research and teaching.

The DIG Video Series: An Introduction from TerpCollaboratory on Vimeo.

This video is the introduction to a series of web-based videos that explain key terms and concepts from art history.
